People are starting to notice the danger of global warming with the impact of Media. The newspapers, the television news has been talking about this phenomenon with its different dimensions by displaying the proofs like melting ice caps. Some people think it was an exaggeration and some people are aware of the danger. It is more likely that Global warming will be indispensable issue of the agenda of whole world.

Some of the companies don’t risk being perceived as insensitive in the eye of their consumers. They have started campaigns relating to global warming and declared that they don’t use the materials which pollutes environment. Thus global warming entered the agenda of popular culture that comprise desires, needs, daily interactions and cultural moments that make up the everyday lives of the mainstream. It can also incorporate clothing, consumption, and mass media. It attracts people by coding itself into the entertainment products like concerts, movies. Since the global warming started to be felt all over the world, the global warming products from detergent to movies which aim to display the danger have increased. The documentary films of Al Gore, the movies like the day after tomorrow, water world, are several examples but we can say that Hollywood industry found a new subject.

Although the scientists and the dignitaries are explaining this serious problem, people need to be engaged emotionally in order to take an action about global warming. Popular culture’s means may be the best way in order to hold the people all together. Live Earth Concerts generated in seven continents with the contributing of worldwide famous artists was one of the most concrete steps in order to attract attention to the global warming. Besides, it should necessarily be said that the efforts for stopping global warming has been under the danger of popular culture that represents itself with its products to the targets that are programmed to consume permanently so it never lets people go into details because they have to forget the previous experience in order to consume next. They do this by presenting the new versions of the products and the previous one became old fashioned. In this sense, live earth concerts can be criticized because of the uncertainty of its goals and ineffectiveness. It is questionable that
the participants of concerts would take the responsibility for stopping global warming and how deeply they would be aware of the danger.

Consequently, it is hopeful that the efforts for stopping global warming are moved o the cultural scenes all over the world but for being more effective and the concrete solutions, it must be moved to the political scenes.
