Zamanın haricinde kalmış çok başarılı bir Avustralya'lı grup temellerini ilk olarak 2000 yılında bir araya gelmeleriyle oluşturdu. Bakıldığı zaman 30 yıl geride kalan bir müzik yapmayı seçen grup Blue Cheer , Black Sabbath , Led Zeppelin gibi gruplarla karşılaştırılabilecek bir rock metal bütünlüğünü bir araya getirebiliyor.
Vokal ve gitarda Andrew Stockdale , bassta ve organizede Chris Ross ve bateride Myles Heskett olan Wolfmother ilk demo albümlerini 2004 yılında 4 şarkıdan oluşan bir albüm ile çıkardı. Ancak bekledikleri başarı bir türlü gelmedi. Ancak daha sonra Modular Records ile birlikte tekrar kayıt yapmaları sonrasında bugüne geldiler. Dimension single'ının yakaladığı başarı sonrasında 2006 yılı ile birlikte hedeflerine yaklaşmıştılar.
Grup isimleriyle aynı adı taşıyan albümleri listelere ilk 40 tan giriş yaptı ve hızla yükseliyor.
Gerçektende wolfmother dinlediğiniz zaman kendinizi bir anda 60 lara götürüyorsunuz. Led Zeppelin'in en iyi zamanları vokal , gitardaki benzeşmeler farklı bir grup durumuna sokuyor wolfmother'ı.
Rock seven herkesin kaçırmadan dinlemesi gereken bir grup.
